The Photos

A Sony Cyber-Shot (1.3 Megapixels), iPhoto, and I think I'm a photographer ... not really, but here are some shots I like.

Photos taken over the past year or so ... trying to catch up.

	For awhile, I thought it would be neat to take pictures of half-eaten food. It didn't last long.
	A phased man and a solid bottle of wine. I thought it was interesting at the time.
	Dentists always seem to indicate that candy is the devil's work.
	The sun was just right, and the water seemed willing to be photographed. Gabe at the Zoo.
	Homeschooling means taking field trips. Columbus Day means exploring the ocean.
	Growing up in Vermont, it's not often you get to take pictures of boats. I admit I haven't had my fill yet.

	This one makes me think of those cheesy watercolors or paint-by-number paintings on sale at tourist traps in Maine.

Here are some photos I took a week or so ago in and around Winter Island, Salem MA.

	Lighthouse from the cliffside.
	I tried to take a picture of every flowering plant on Winter Island. This is the purple one.
	Yellow flower cluster. These smelled like lemon barbeque chicken when I squeezed the leaves between my fingers.
	A shot of Queen Anne's Lace with a bit of the swimming beach behind it.
	Another shot of the lighthouse. This one was taken from the rocks just below the cliff of the first shot.
	A late-life flower. Not sure of the species, but I liked the color.
	I think this is a rosehip. I'm probably wrong.
	Dark berries. We found these on the bike path that circles the barracks at Winter Island -- just above the old depth charge stockpile.
	I really liked this white flower.
	Yellow berries.
	Some kind of plant gone to seed. Again, i'm not sure what species these are.
